Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to conduct a study on restorative justice as an innovative approach in the legal system that focuses on accountability, reparation of the harm caused, and reintegration of the adolescent offender with a focus on human rights. This perspective seeks to promote personal responsibility, dialogue, and reconciliation between the offender, the victim, and the community in general. Through restorative juvenile justice, the aim is not to punish the young person's behavior, but to address the underlying causes of his or her delinquent behavior and provide the opportunity for positive reintegration into society.
