Efectos del ejercicio terapéutico en la movilidad articular del hombro en pacientes postmastectomía

El cáncer de mama es una enfermedad que afecta principalmente a las mujeres y puede tener un impacto negativo en su calidad de vida. La mastectomía, como parte del tratamiento, puede llevar a limitaciones en la movilidad del hombro en este contexto el ejercicio terapéutico se presenta como una intervención importante para mejorar la movilidad articular y la calidad de vida y facilitar la recuperación de las pacientes. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta revisión sistemática es describir los efectos del ejercicio terapéutico en la movilidad articular del hombro en pacientes postmastectomía. Siguiendo el modelo PRISMA, se realizó una búsqueda de información de los últimos 5 años en bases de datos como PubMed y Cochrane Library utilizando términos MeSH. Se incluyeron estudios publicados en inglés o español; ensayos controlados y ensayos controlados aleatorios (ECA); aplicando criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se seleccionaron 16 artículos que investigan el ejercicio y la movilidad del hombro en pacientes postmastectomías. Se observo una tendencia positiva en la mayoría de los estudios analizados, demostrando beneficios del ejercicio terapéutico, significativos en la movilidad articular del hombro principalmente en movimientos de flexión extensión y abducción. Los resultados indican que los programas de rehabilitación, que abarcan diversas modalidades de ejercicio, logran mejorar significativamente el rango de movimiento en las pacientes, independientemente de la duración de las intervenciones.
