Agroecology has become a fundamental approach for the sustainable development of agriculture around the world, and its implementation in Cuba has proven to be an effective strategy to promote food sovereignty and security, environmental conservation and the well-being of people. rural communities. That is why this article addresses this topic, highlighting the benefits of the implementation of an agroecological strategy to face climate change in the Manuel Tames Credit and Services Cooperative. In this, from a mixed approach, quantitative and qualitative methodology is used, employing empirical methods such as: scientific observation, interviews, documentary analysis and field notes; For its part, the techniques for collecting information that were applied were: participant observation; in-depth interview and testimony. Among the main results are greater capacity for water management, soil conservation, crop diversification, as well as increased resilience to climate change of producers.
