The game represents a didactic tool that significantly enriches mathematical learning in the second year of Basic General Education. Through the game, an attractive learning environment is created that affects the ability to apply knowledge creatively and effectively. The present research aims to design a system of activities based on the game for the development of numerical thinking in second-year students of the Juan León Mera Basic Education School. The research uses a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. A system of activities based on the game was designed for the development of numerical thinking in the second year of EGB. The implementation of the proposal was carried out on 32 students in the second year of the Juan León Mera Basic Education School. The results allowed to verify that the system of activities based on the game promoted the development of numerical thinking in second-year EGB students. In the conclusions of the study, quantitative growth was evident in the results obtained before and after implementing the system of activities proposed in the research.
